Dodge the Destroyer

Hi, well you've met my girlfriend Komika, now it's my turn to tell you all a little about myself. My full name is Darksky Flying High - pretty funny name hey? I was born in Queensland  at the home of Rodney Surawski - he owns Darksky Alaskan Malamutes - then my Mum came along and took me home with her. Like Komika, I am also three years old.
Also like Komika, and Mum and Dad, I love Tasmania. It is so much better than hot Queensland. We have three acres and sometimes Komika and I get to run around, chasing and playing. There is a small dam and I love jumping on the hill next to it because Mum thinks I am going to jump in it... and maybe one day, I just might! The other thing I love doing is eating wallaby and pademelon poop - you heard me right, I eat it. Yummo! I have the knack of scooping it up really fast before Mum or Dad can stop me. Mum says that's why she adds Rufus & Coco's Inner Balance to our food every day, to keep our tummies healthy - and maybe balance out the poop factor in my diet.
Mum used to take me to training at a dog club in Brisbane when I was little. It was fun but I pretty much think that I have forgotten everything she tried to teach me. It's my job not to remember, right? What good Alaskan Malamute would do everything they were told? Not this one!
My other favourite thing to do is eat (not just poop!). We get a natural raw diet so that means nothing cooked or grains. Thanks to Tassal's we get to eat Tasmanian raw salmon. At first I didn't think it was so great but now, I just love it. I get a whole tail to eat. The vet told Dad the other day that I looked like a barrel but I'm pretty. That's good isn't it? I think Mum was annoyed as I weigh 40 kilograms which isn't too bad for my age and size. Me, I don't really mind, just as long as I get breakfast and dinner every day, and someone thinks I'm pretty!
Do you know that since we arrived in Tasmania, we haven't had a bath yet? I can't believe our luck. Mum used to hydrobath us every couple of weeks but it's been really chilly and I don't think she's managed to hook up that wicked bath yet, so we're bath free. It's awesome. They say that Komika still looks beautiful and white but me, I remind them of a character from Charlie Brown who had flies buzzing around his head. Yep, I'm a grub, but honestly, I can't help it. Dirt just loves me, and I just love dirt.
Well now you have a good idea of who I am, I will sign off for today. We'll both be back soon to tell you some more about our Tasmanian antics. Until next time...
Love, Licks and Woo-woo's
Dodge xx
